High-octane entertainment is the name of the game at the New Zealand Superbike Championship series. Don’t miss the chance to see the country’s top motorcycle racers battle it out on track this summer. The New Zealand Superbike Championship is the pinnacle of motorcycle racing in New Zealand.

It has been the stepping stone to the international stage for NZ road racing talent since its inception. The championship has been developed not only to showcase the premier Superbike class, but also to boost a number of tiered development classes that offer the perfect feeder programme for young talent.

Contested annually at premier sealed race circuits around the country, the action at each round is spread over two days. Saturday mornings kick off with practice and qualifiers, followed by the first round of races in the afternoon. Sunday sees a further two races for each class.

When NZSBK came to NZTEC to develop a new website for them we were very excited. They had great content, rider profiles, media and a real direction for the new website to follow. With NZSBK being based in Auckland and NZTEC based in Nelson we worked together on the project using email and regular phone calls. Once the requirements for the website were finalised we got to work creating a WordPress website that implemented the Sportpress plugin. This plugin was not designed for motor racing so a lot of customization had to take place in order for things to work. In the end we developed an amazing website which keeps track of player profiles, race results, events, stats, standings and everything to do with the the entire championship. It does all this in a very modern, sleek and standardized approach.
